The Hoxton will open its latest European property on April 25, with the unveiling of a 240-room hotel in Barcelona.
The property is located in the city’s El Peblenou district, and features a rooftop pool, bar and taqueria with views over the Sagrada Familia, as well as a ground-floor pizza restaurant with terrace, three meeting and events spaces next to the lobby, and a further “multifunctional basement space that will host local cultural programming and community events”.
Room design has been inspired by “the sun and sea of Barcelona”, with “terracotta floors, faded florals and a serene colour palettes”, as well as handcrafted tapestries above the headboards, and artwork curated by Barcelona-based John Brown Projects.
The hotel is currently offering pre-opening rates from €160 for bookings made before April 25 (for stays until December 30, 2022), including a €50 restaurant credit.
The Hoxton brand launched in London’s Shoreditch in 2006, and is part of global lifestyle hotel company Ennismore, in which Accor holds a majority stake.
The Hoxton Barcelona is the group’s 11th property, joining locations across Europe and North America including Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, New York, Portland, Chicago, Downtown Los Angeles, and three London hotels in Shoreditch, Holborn and Southwark.
This year will also see the opening of Hoxton properties in Brussels and London’s Shepherd’s Bush.
