Accor opens M Gallery property in Bulgaria – Business Traveller

Accor has unveiled its first M Gallery property in Bulgaria, situated in the ancient city of Plovdiv.

The Emporium Plovdiv – M Gallery has been designed by Sundukovy Sisters S+S and is located within a former department store. The interior resembles the shape of an ancient Forum, paying tribute to the city’s archaeological sites – the Roman Forum is located 700 metres from the hotel.

The design blends the old and the new, with brass accents, stucco, gold lamps and natural woods. The hotel also features a tailor-made signature scent inspired by the destination and developed by French company Shams Conseils.

The 61 ‘smart rooms’ include innovative technologies that allow guests to adjust the light in their room, open and close the curtains and control the audio-visual appliances.

The property also offers “wellness and fitness zones”, a Champagne and cocktail bar, and three conference rooms. The Torro Premio restaurant is set to open soon and offer classic Bulgarian dishes and international cuisine, cooked on a Mibrasa grill.

General manager Pawel Panczak commented:

“Opening of this astonishing hotel is the beginning of the beautiful adventure of creating unforgettable moments for our guests travelling to Plovdiv from all over the world. With the unique ambiance of the boutique MGallery brand taking hospitality to the higher level we encourage everyone to relax, admire some of the world’s oldest, golden treasures of the region and create stories that stay in memories forever.”

Accor currently has over 100 M Gallery properties in 30 countries around the world.
