Cathay Pacific suspends Israel flights – Business Traveller

On 5 December, Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways said that it would suspend its Hong Kong-Tel Aviv route.

For now, the Tel Aviv service has been cancelled through 28 March 2024.

Cathay says that rebooking options for affected passengers are very limited.

“In view of the uncertainty related to the ongoing situation in Israel, all Cathay Pacific flights to and from Tel Aviv from today up to and including 28th March 2024 will be cancelled.

Affected customers who have not received a message from Cathay Pacific are advised to check the current status of their booking via Manage Booking,” the airline said in a media statement.

“Our ticket waiver policy is in place to provide choice and flexibility. Customers who are booked to travel on Cathay Pacific flights between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv up to 31 March 2024 can rebook, reroute or refund their travel without the usual fees.

Despite our best efforts, alternative flights are very limited in the current situation, severely restricting rebooking options,” the oneworld member said.

Following this suspension, there will be no more nonstop service between Hong Kong and Israel.
