Radisson Collection opens first hotel in Baltics – Business Traveller

Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled its first property in the Baltics under the growing Radisson Collection brand.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Tallinn in Estonia has opened following an extensive €25 million renovation. Located on Ravala boulevard in the city’s old town, the hotel is within walking distance of Tallinn’s main square.

The hotel features 287 rooms and suites, all of which overlook the city, rooftop restaurant and bar Issei which serves Japanese-Peruvian cuisine, and Estonian restaurant Mekk on the first floor. There’s also a fourth-floor “relaxation area” with a spa, swimming pool, Japanese bath and three saunas as well as a spacious gym.

Interiors have been designed by local architect Argo Vaikla and include dark, Estonia wood panels and eco-friendly design elements. The floors in the corridors, for instance, are covered with a relief carpet made from recycled fishing nets. Rooms also include photographs of the Estonian forest by Kristoffer Vaikla.

Additionally, the hotel has a recently renovated 1,000 sqm conference centre on the second floor, which comprises eight meeting spaces named after cities within the Radisson Collection portfolio.

Ain Käpp, CEO of HMP Hotellid OU, commented:

“The opening of Radisson Collection Hotel, Tallinn is a milestone achievement for us, as we introduce our luxury lifestyle brand to this culturally rich city and region. Radisson Collection properties embrace and represent the local culture and design wherever they are located, and this is true here at Radisson Collection Hotel, Tallinn as well. Guests will be able to discover Estonian art, design, and photography which are on display throughout the hotel.”

The Radisson Collection was launched in 2018 as a replacement for the Quorvus Collection, as part of wider group restructuring which saw Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group renamed as the Radisson Hotel Group.
