Ruby Zoe opens in Notting Hill – Business Traveller

Ruby Hotels has opened its second property in London with Ruby Zoe Hotel & Bar.

The brand made it’s debut in the English capital in January 2020 with Ruby Lucy in Waterloo (find our review here ) and has announced plans for a third property in Clerkenwell this year, and Southwark in 2024.

Located directly on Notting Hill Gate, the new-build property features 173 rooms spread over six floors. Four room categories are available, including NEST Room (15 sqm) COSY Rooms (17 sqm) LOVELY Rooms (18-24 sqm) and WOW Rooms (up to 30 sqm).

Following Ruby’s “lean luxury” ethos, the hotel focuses on providing high-end essentials. Features include an open washstand and glass rain shower, white walls and panelling made of cherry wood. Artwork above the bed picks up on the colourful houses in Notting Hill.

Design-wise, Ruby Zoe has been inspired by Notting Hill’s history and Caribbean heritage, using colours of Portobello Road in the 1970s and the Caribbean islands as inspiration. Later this year a specially commissioned floor-to-ceiling glass mosaic by celebrated British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové will be installed on the hotel’s façade, celebrating the Notting Hill carnival.
