Staycity to open London Stratford aparthotel – Business Traveller

Dublin-based aparthotel operator Staycity has announced plans for a new-build property in London’s Stratford.

The £40 million project will see a 240-unit aparthotel being built on land close to Westfield Stratford City shopping centre and Stratford Underground and rail station.

The property is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026, and will feature a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments, as well as a fitness centre, cafe, bar, lounge, guest laundry and shop.

Staycity said that the aparthotel is expected to attract a 60:40 leisure/business guest profile.

The group currently operates around 6,000 apartments across 32 properties in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and the UK, with forthcoming locations including Amsterdam, Porto and Lisbon.

Earlier this year I reviewed the recently-opened Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity Paddington, London, a 249-unit property under the group’s design-led Wilde brand.

Commenting on the forthcoming London Stratford property Neil Short, Staycity Group’s development director – London, said:

“We have long admired Stratford and seen it steadily improve since its Olympic reinvigoration. The location is fantastic with excellent links by train and tube, including to the Eurostar and Europe beyond. We look forward to playing a part in Stratford’s outstanding growth story.”
