Thai Airways to return to Western Australia – Business Traveller

Star Alliance member Thai Airways (THAI) is planning to recommence its daily service between its Bangkok hub and Perth from 31 March.

Thai Airways will operate the route with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which has a total of 266 seats configured with 24 business class and 240 economy class seats.

On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, TG481 will depart Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport at 0720 for an arrival into Perth at 1505. The return TG482 flights depart at 1620 and arrive back in the Thai capital at 2220.

On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, TG483 will leave Bangkok at 0001, arriving in Perth at 0745. The return TG484 flights depart Perth at 0920 and arrive in Bangkok at 1520.

Perth airport chief commercial and aviation officer, Kate Holsgrove, said it was fantastic to see the airline return with a nonstop daily service to the popular destination.

“The return of this service means tourists, students and businesses have the option of a non-stop connection to Bangkok which will deliver a significant 186,368 seats and 14,000 tonnes of cargo capacity to the Perth market annually.

“With Thailand being Western Australia’s eighth largest trading partner and a significant market for international students, the resumption of non-stop flights provides a massive opportunity for both our economies.

Thai Airways recently also loaded a second daily Bangkok-Sydney schedule, complementing its current twice a day service to Melbourne.
