Sea Containers London launches subscription service for remote workers – Business Traveller

Sea Containers London has launched a new subscription service designed for those travelling regularly to London.

With remote work now a norm, the hotel on London’s Southbank is providing a base for those on the move.

The ‘Commuter Club’ is aimed at remote workers, freelancers and digital nomads, with three tiers and price packages depending on the member’s needs.

All tiers include overnight accommodation, a 15 per cent discount at the property’s F&B outlets (including the recently reviewed Lyaness Bar), a personalised in-room amenity selection, use of spa facilities, 24-hour gym access, secure bike storage and a trunk to store personal belongings until their next visit.

Members also benefit from high-speed wifi, access to the hotel’s public areas, private meeting and dining rooms (for an additional fee) and the ability to bring along their pets free of charge (complete with a bed, bowls and treats).

The tiers start with ‘The Part Timer’, costing £1,550 per month and including 60 stays a year at the hotel. This is followed by ‘The Regular Traveller’ at £2,300 for 90 stays a year, while ‘The Committed Commuter’ costs £2,700 per month and includes 120 stays a year along with eight complimentary tickets to the hotel’s private Curzon Cinema.

Members will also be able to use up to 10 per cent of their night allowance at other hotels within the Lore Group portfolio, including Pulitzer Amsterdam, One Hundred Shoreditch and Riggs Washington DC.

Up to three named family and friends will also be able to use the room nights within a member’s subscription, but they do not receive additional Commuter Club benefits.

Sea Containers London’s general manager, PJ Kenny, commented:

“We have seen an increase in our regular guests, who stay multiple nights throughout the month, and with the rise of the digital nomad well underway we wanted to create a monthly membership program which would offer a flexible and accommodating package for those who aren’t based in London but have to regularly travel to the city for work or other commitments.”
