Citizen M debuts in Miami – Business Traveller

The property’s living room-style lobby features books, art and furniture from Vitra, as well as a 24-hour ‘canteen’ offering grab-and-go food and drinks. There are also two terraces – one overlooks the S. Miami Avenue and the other faces a green garden space.

Rooms feature a wall-to-wall window, XL king-size bed, power shower, free wifi and HDTV with streaming capabilities. A tablet is also provided for controlling the lights, temperature, blinds and TV – these features can also be controlled by a guest’s smartphone via the hotel’s app.

The hotel also has eight conference rooms on the third floor and a rooftop gym.

Robin Chadha, chief marketing officer, commented:

“We’re thrilled to be opening the first of two citizenM hotels planned in Miami this year. With Jen Stark’s striking facade artwork and the interior curated with a selection of works from artists celebrating Miami’s diverse and vivacious spirit, we are excited to be able to provide guests with an unparalleled and culturally robust experience, making this property a landmark in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood.”

Citizen M Miami World Center will open later this year and offer 351 rooms, an 11th floor pool and bar, four meeting spaces, and “a series of sculptures placed across the facade”.

The group has a total of nine properties across the US, located in Boston, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington DC.

Earlier this month the brand opened its fourth London property – the 226-room Citizen M London Victoria Station on the site previously occupied by Denison House.
